Aduro Advisors is looking for bright and talented individuals to join our team working to support top-tier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space. The Management Company Accounting Manager works alongside an Aduro Controller to support a client base comprised of multiple small to medium-sized Venture Capital firms.Why Aduro?We’re not your typical fund administrators. We do this by investing heavily in training and development programs, providing ample opportunities for growth, and focusing on fostering a culture of collaboration and community.A Management Company Accounting Manager works directly with a Controller to support the accounting and operations functions of a portfolio of Aduro clients while also running with clients independently. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills. As a member of the Aduro Advisors team, this individual must be able to grow positive, collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues while working independently at home.Here is the type of work you will do:Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAPDrive month-end close process and raise follow-up questions to Controller or client (if appropriate)Prepare quarterly reporting including detailed general ledger, balance sheet and income statement for Controller and client reviewManage payroll process including inputting changes in employee compensation, benefits deductions, expense reimbursements, etc.Process accounts payable on a weekly-basis using Bill.comManage intercompany invoicing process and process reimbursementsProcess and reconcile expense and credit card reporting using ExpensifyReview client budget and compare to actualsPrepare and provide documentation to external tax team for quarterly tax estimates and annual reportingRun annual 1099 Reporting ProcessThe salary range for the Management Company Accounting Manager role is $75,000 - $95,000. Salary range for this role is determined based on current market data and relevant experience level. Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting role – experience with accounts payable and payroll cycles is requiredExternal auditor / CPA certification a plusProficient in accounting systems such as Xero or QuickbooksComfortable with software systems including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, SlackMust be self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable working remotelyMust be detail-oriented, service-focused, thoughtful, and excellent at both written and verbal communicationIf you feel like you don’t meet all the requirements for this role, we still encourage you to apply.
