What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate admissions and assessment processes for incoming patients
- Respond to inquiries about the facility within established timeframes
- Schedule and complete pre-admission assessments, communicating recommendations to patients and families
- Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate admissions
- Perform insurance benefit verifications and secure initial pre-authorization for treatment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Four years of experience in sales, call center settings, and insurance
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, Social Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, Sociology, Public Administration, or a related field; or a registered nurse with an associate's degree in nursing, or a licensed practical or vocational nurse with successful completion of an LPN or LVN training program
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity, preferably within the area of specialty for the hiring facility
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related admissions or coordination role
- Master's degree in a therapeutic field
- Familiarity with insurance processes and patient care coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
