The Position

The Admissions Advisor is a key member of the university's admissions team, responsible for helping prospective students navigate the admissions process and make informed decisions about their education. The Admissions Advisor works closely with applicants, faculty, and staff to ensure that prospective students have the information and support they need to make informed decisions about their academic careers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Follow up with prospective students that have requested information about the university’s programs.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students interested in applying to California Intercontinental University.
• Review and evaluate applications and transcripts, to determine eligibility for admission.
• Communicate with applicants to provide guidance on the admissions process and answer questions about the university and its programs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students to promote the university and its programs.
• Participate in outreach activities to provide information about the university to prospective students and their families.
• Assist with the development and implementation of recruitment and outreach strategies to attract a diverse and qualified applicant pool.
• Provide support to current students with the enrollment process, including course registration and financial aid.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applicant and student information in the university's admissions database.
• Other duties as assigned.

The minimum requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or a closely related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to evaluate and make decisions based on complex information and to identify creative solutions to challenging problems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with prospective students and their families, and to communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with software and systems used in admissions and enrollment management, such as customer relationship management (CRM) software, application processing systems, and electronic document management systems.
