APPLICATION ADMINISTRATOR Reporting to the Team Lead, Enterprise Applications, the Application Administrator will deploy and assist with updates and maintaining health of Production environments for production applications or technology, through ongoing analysis and reporting. Here is what a typical day looks like Incident Management and Operational Support: Serving as Escalation point for Service Desk team Collaborate with Applications Team to assess, prioritize and resolve issues Problem Management: Analyzing and identifying problems based on logged incidents Change Management: Submitting Request for Change (RFC) in Production environments Performance Management: Assisting in monitoring performance metrics Release Management: Implementing changes, updates or upgrades in testing and Production environments Documentation: Creating and maintaining knowledge base articles to support Service Desk team members Configuring monitoring systems to evaluate status of specific jobs, processes and queues Providing reporting and analysis on operational health and performance statistics Establishing and defining backup schedules Assisting in defining requirements for future deployments to ensure operational soundness Developing and maintaining Capacity and Performance Management practices Assisting in development and implementation of relevant ITIL processes Developing and deploying testing strategies Coordinating with vendors, at the support level The value you bring 1-3 years of proven Technology experience with a solid understanding of Western’s applications Working knowledge of Application Management methodologies Prior experience in Change Management or Release Management is a strong asset Computer Science degree or diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience Role Details Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week Location: Remote in Canada (will work in either Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zones) Compensation Range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year Requisition: 82773 Current Vacancy: Yes Why Western?
