Key Responsibilities As an Administrative Support Student Assistant, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the smooth operation of our research team. Your duties will include: Providing reception coverage, ensuring a welcoming and professional front desk presence Scanning and organizing administrative files, both physical and digital Creating and maintaining accurate inventories of supplies and equipment Assisting with departmental events, including setup, coordination, and follow-up tasks Data entry and management, including working on special projects and ensuring data accuracy Processing mailing returns, tracing contact information, and updating our database Performing other support tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must: Be a currently enrolled UW-Madison undergraduate student Have experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Be available to work during the summer months Demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality Be reliable, task-oriented, and able to work independently once familiar with job responsibilities Preferred qualifications include a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to efficiently complete tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
