As an Administrative Assistant II, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Alumni Relations department, providing logistical support, and delivering exceptional customer service to our alumni community. Key Responsibilities Alumni Advisory Board Support: Provide timely responses to communications, support annual Board meetings, and assist with other events as needed. Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service for alumni relations operations, including maintaining schedules, inventory, purchasing, mailings, and data entry. Independent Operations: Independently handle the alumni phone line, email inbox, and approve Alumni LinkedIn page requests. Event Support: Provide in-person and virtual event support with alumni participants. Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, such as word processing, spreadsheet management, and presentation preparation. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: 3 years of experience providing administrative support. Computer Skills: Proficiency in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, Internet, email, and calendaring software. Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Alumni Relations: Previous experience working in alumni relations or a related field. Project Management Skills: Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Data Entry and Management: Experience with data entry and management, including maintaining accurate records and databases. What We Offer Compensation and Benefits: Competitive Salary: $52,000 - $57,000 per year, depending on experience. Generous Time Off: 14 days of paid vacation, 15 days of sick leave, 3 personal days, and 15 paid holidays (16 during general election years). Retirement Plans: Choose between the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) or the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System (MSRPS). Tuition Remission: Immediate availability for Collegiate and Regular Staff, with spouses and dependent children eligible for undergraduate tuition remission after two years of service.
