Administrative Assistant-Cybersecurity & Privacy

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is a significant part of publicly funded Catholic education in Ontario. They are seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Cybersecurity & Privacy Department to support privacy, compliance, risk management, and cybersecurity initiatives within the ICT Services Division.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the maintenance of Privacy and Security Awareness Training programAssist in the administration of TCDSB Freedom of Information request responseAssist in the administration of software review processParticipate in the security alert monitoring, triaging and analysis of security events/incidentsProvide support in response to security events and escalate security incidents to lead analysts as requiredCollaborate in performing vulnerability scans and follow-up with staff to ensure patches are installed in a timely mannerAid in monitoring, notification and remediation of cyber advisories and threat intelligenceAssist in the creation of system reportsProvide support with follow-up and remediation with respect to compromised accounts and vulnerable usersPerform other duties as assigned or requiredSkillsTwo-year College Diploma in cybersecurity or related fieldMinimum one(1) year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceRelevant privacy, cybersecurity, and/or risk management certifications are an assetDemonstrated understanding of security and privacy legal and regulatory requirementsWilling to learn and support the administration of comprehensive privacy, risk management and cybersecurity frameworks, and technologies, firewall technologies, endpoint protection, email security, web gateways, identity and access management, authentication (MFA), vulnerability management, penetration testing and threat hunting, data-loss prevention, encryption, networking concepts, and technology solutionsDemonstrated excellent communication and administrative skills with strong attention to detail and a commitment to qualityCompany OverviewThe Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is one of the largest school boards in Canada – serving more than 84,000 students in more than 195 Catholic schools in the city of Toronto.
