Adjunct Professor for Secured Transactions - Fall Semester 2026

Mitchell Hamline School of Law, a leader in pedagogical innovation dedicated to expanding access to high-quality legal education, seeks an adjunct professor to teach the following course in Fall 2026: Secured Transactions (Online Asynchronous) (3 credits) Covers the creation and perfection of consensual liens known as "security interests" in personal property under Article 9 of the U.C.C., proceeds and priorities problems, remedies and default, repossession, and disposition of collateral. This area of law is widely used in business, commercial, and consumer transactions of all types, including bank financing, mergers and acquisitions, and the sale of business, agricultural and consumer goods on credit. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or foreign equivalent degree and at least three years of practice and/or relevant teaching experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with fostering or the ability to foster an inclusive and equity-centered teaching, learning, and departmental environment where all can thrive.
