Adjunct Instructor/Health & Exercise Science, and Outdoor Adventure Leadership
**Overview:**
We are seeking a pool of Adjunct Instructors to teach courses in Health & Exercise Science and Outdoor Adventure Leadership at Southern Oregon University. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach students in these exciting fields and contribute to the academic and professional growth of our students. **Responsibilities:**
ā¢ Teach courses in Health & Exercise Science and Outdoor Adventure Leadership, including lectures, labs, and workshops
ā¢ Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
ā¢ Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
ā¢ Participate in program and institutional administrative, committee, and student support and retention activities
ā¢ Engage in professional development and service activities
ā¢ *Qualifications:**
ā¢ Master's or terminal degree in the discipline taught or a related field (for Adjunct Instructor level)
ā¢ Terminal degree in the discipline taught or a related field (for Adjunct Assistant Professor level)
ā¢ Demonstrated teaching potential and familiarity with the appropriate equipment
ā¢ Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in the discipline taught, or a related field, and a commitment to student learning, retention, and support
