Adjunct Faculty - Online Fundamentals of Communication
Job Summary:
The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) is seeking highly qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach online courses in Fundamentals of Communication (CMNS 101). As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will facilitate asynchronous online courses, engage with students, and provide support and guidance to ensure academic success. Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate online courses in Fundamentals of Communication, using an institutional course shell
Communicate effectively with students through weekly announcements, online office hours, and regular email updates
Utilize appropriate technologies and online platforms to deliver course content and engage students
Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, papers, and class work
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data
Collaborate with other faculty members and participate in departmental meetings or training sessions as required
Requirements:
Master's degree in Communication, Communication Studies, Speech Communication, Speech, or a closely related field
Alternatively, a Master's degree in another discipline with at least 18 graduate credits in Communication, Communication Studies, Speech Communication, Speech, or a closely related field
Two (2) years of prior teaching experience required
Experience in facilitating online learning classes preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Residency in Maryland or one of the following states: Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, or the District of Columbia
Documentation of online learning training at the time of application
