Accounts Receivable/Collections Coordinator

The Accounts Receivable/Collections Coordinator will communicate with delinquent customers, resolve billing disputes, and take on data analyst responsibilities as the role matures.ResponsibilitiesReview shipping/billing documentation in a paperless environment via Microsoft Excel and FMS/CargoWise OneCollect and analyze relevant data to create reports such as highlighting high risk accounts, accounts receivable aging percentiles, and moreTake a process-based approach to resolve billing/payment disputesManage as many as 200+ past due accounts dailyRecord business transactions, charges, refunds, and key daily worksheets to general ledgerReview accounts receivable aging and reconcile accountsReview weekly reports and address any issues as neededWork closely with our Sales Department to resolve customer disputesSkillsMinimum 1 year experience in an accounting role; preferably handling accounts receivable or collectionsAbility to set and manage expectations of customers and upper managementCustomer service focused mindset for dealing with difficult/upset customersASSERTIVE! - able to secure payments and deal with delinquent customersAdvanced proficiency with data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI are highly preferredPrevious experience using the ERP system, CargoWise One, is preferredBachelor's degree or higher preferredBenefitsHybrid work schedule (1-day a week working from home); laptop provided by OEC Group.10-days PTO (Paid Time Off), Employee Appreciation Days, Paid Holidays, Sick/Flex time.Full Health Insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, term life, and accident insurance.401K retirement plan with 3% company match.Discounted pet insurance - woof! woof! meow!Annual performance bonus and mid-year reviews for salary increases.Company OverviewOEC Group is a logistics company that offers ocean freight, air freight, and export services.
