Accounts Payable Specialist needed full time for a national private lender
Project Overview:
Dominion Financial Services (DFS) is a fast-growing real estate lender specializing in Short-Term Bridge Loans and Long-Term Rental Loans for real estate investors across the country. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Accounting team and ensure accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. In this role, you will play a key part in managing full-cycle accounts payable, maintaining organized financial records, and supporting the overall efficiency of our accounting operations.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist You Will:
Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice receipt, entry, and payment processing while supporting weekly check runs and maintaining accurate financial records. You will process a high volume of invoices received through mail and email, resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams, and ensure documentation is properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed. This role also supports the Accounting team with additional tasks and special projects as needed while maintaining strong communication across departments to keep processes accurate and efficient.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Candidates should have at least two years of experience in Accounts Payable within a job cost environment and experience handling a high volume of invoices with strong attention to detail. Experience using Sage Intacct is preferred, and a background in accounting, bookkeeping, property management, or commercial real estate is a plus. The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills, can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, consistently meets deadlines with accuracy, and is comfortable working independently on documentation, correspondence, and reporting.
