Accounts Payable Specialist (12 months Contract)

Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, this role will support the day-to-day operations of the Finance team. Our team has a strong focus on process improvement and this role will have a significant impact in supporting systems efficiency.This contract position will be eligible for the benefits, time off program, and competitive compensation that full-time employees receive. The contract dates will be June 1, 2026 to July 2027 (12 months). Note: This is an existing vacancy on the team What You’ll Be DoingMaintain the Accounts Payable subledgerVendor setup and maintenanceManagement of the AP inbox including timely and professional responses to vendor inquiriesReconcile vendor statements to internal reportsReview vendor invoice coding and departmental allocation2-Way-Match purchase orders to invoice, identify, and resolve discrepanciesProcess payments to vendorsEmployee expense processing and approvalCredit card reconciliations and expense processingIdentify areas for process improvement and working with the team to find solutionsSupport ad-hoc projects and requests across the Finance teamWhat You’ll Bring to the Team3 or more years of demonstrated accounts payable experienceAbility to multitask and iterate on processes in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsKeen attention to detail, using correct department and accounts while processing bills/invoicesAn interest in building relationships internally and collaborating with othersDemonstrated ability to be coached and continually improveBonus: Experience working with Netsuite (invoices/billing)Where You’ll Work Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. BC Loopers have the option to work centrally in Vancouver.
