Accounting Technician – NANA Anchorage, AK (In-Office) - Full-time

**Job Description**

This position performs various duties with coding verification, entering, processing, storing of accounts payable information to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations.
• *_This is an in-office position, Monday-Friday in Anchorage, AK. We are not offering a remote work from home or a hybrid option for this position._**
• *Responsibilities**

+ Enter vendor invoices into accounting system.

+ Maintain a variety of payable department files as assigned.

+ Processes and submits customer invoices on a weekly basis.

+ Submits customer statements on a weekly basis via mail, and/or electronically.

+ Deposits customer payments on a daily basis.

+ Applies cash receipts to customer’s account.

+ Matches and files all customer invoices, and vendor bills accordingly.

+ Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
• *Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma (or GED).

+ An Associate’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, preferred.

+ At least three years of general office experience with success in handling significant independent work responsibilities.

+ The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times while displaying a professional disposition

+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities to assure deadlines are met.

+ Results oriented with the ability to respond to the needs of the department and Company.

+ Ability to operate general office equipment, phone, internet, excel spreadsheets, and word processing software. Candidates will be sent MS Office testing as part of the hiring and selection process to validate capabilities.

+ Must be able to work overtime as required.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• *Weather:** Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside.
• *Noise level:** The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.
• *Description of environment:** Office building with standard office environment.
• *Physical requirements:** Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
• *Travel:** No

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, related company interaction, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
