Job Description
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for working with accounts payable/receivable, coordinating various accounts for their companies, and other duties may include working with both customers and vendors.
Essential Job Functions:
Ā Duties include but are not limited to:
Ā Sort documents and post debits/credits to proper account.
Ā Verify amounts and codes on various forms for accuracy.
Ā Balance entries and make necessary corrections.
Ā Maintain and make necessary adjustments to records and/or logs such as journals, payroll/ time
reports, or property records.
Ā Verify and reconcile simple bank statements
Requirements
Ā Analytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats.
Ā Perform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting.
Ā Basic knowledge in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Ā Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
Ā Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
Ā Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
Ā Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
Ā Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
Education and Experience
Ā High School Diploma or GED Required
Ā 0 Ā 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
