Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Coordinator to support our accounting department with a wide range of financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid communication skills, and experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
Assist the Controller with daily, weekly, monthly and year-end closing processes.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Prepare and assist with financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and other ad-hoc reports as needed.
Assist in preparing tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting by tracking expenses and financial performance.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
Provide support during audits by preparing and submitting required documentation.
Represents the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer and employee interactions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or working towards a degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Experience requirements may be met through professional experience or coursework completed as part of a degree program.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Excel and Sap, etc.).
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role has the potential to evolve into a full-time opportunity depending on performance and organizational needs.
