FOREVER LEGAL is seeking an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper with law firm
trust accounting and Texas IOLTA compliance expertise to support our virtual startup
law firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile IOLTA trust accounts in full compliance with Texas law
- Maintain and organize all firm financial records and expenses
- Track revenue, categorize expenses, and ensure accurate ledger management
- Generate monthly reports and assist with tax preparation
- Help establish and maintain accounting systems tailored for a startup law firm
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Texas state and legal accounting standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience with law firm trust accounting (IOLTA required)
- Strong knowledge of Texas trust accounting rules and compliance
- Experience supporting startup or small law firms
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
