The State of Tennessee is seeking an Accountant 1 to join its Finance and Administration Department. This entry-level position involves professional accounting work under close supervision, including monitoring funds, auditing invoices, and performing reconciliations. Responsibilities Monitors federal and third party grant and program funds to ensure accurate fund results Audits basic invoices and billings for compliance with departmental policies and procedures, contract terms, federal and state laws and regulations.Audits tax related accounting documents to determine compliance with federal tax laws and regulations Analyzes general ledger transactions to ensure and verify the accurate recording and/or application of funds.
