Our vision is to connect thousands of suppliers with thousands of chefs across hundreds of cities, building the new standard for how the world sources food.About the role:As an Account Executive at Saltz, your mission is to change how chefs order food and grow the accounts of the gastronomy businesses already doing it with us.You're selling something genuinely different: a digital marketplace that allows chefs to order as close as possible to the source. They gain full transparency on pricing, a simple and intuitive ordering experience, access to suppliers they already trust and discover new products – all in one place, our marketplace.To do this well, you need to understand the world you're walking into. If you've spent time in food distribution, wholesale, or supply β€” selling ingredients or products to HoReCa clients β€” you already think the way our best customers think. You know what a good price looks like, you know what chefs care about, and you know how to have a real conversation in a kitchen. That's the foundation this role is built on.What you will do:Introduce Saltz to chefs, restaurant owner, F&B managers and convince them to start placing orders using the platformOwn a portfolio of restaurant and other HoReCa accounts β€” your job is to grow them, not just maintain themVisit clients regularly: walk the kitchen, understand their challenges, find where Saltz can do more for themIdentify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by asking the right questions and listening carefullyBuild relationships with the people who matter β€” chefs, GMs, procurement teams β€” so they think of you as a trusted advisorWork closely with the teams to turn client feedback into actionable input for the platformDrive growth by keeping as many accounts as possible actively orderingRepresent Saltz at industry events, trade visits, and in-person meetings where your HoReCa credibility opens doorsWhat you need:Experience selling food products (ingredients, supplies, or beverages) to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients β€” distribution, wholesale, or food supplier background is exactly what we're looking forYou understand food pricing, margins, and how chefs make buying decisions β€” a chef can't confuse you on specs or costsA proven track record of growing existing accounts, not just closing new onesComfortable managing multiple demanding relationships simultaneously without dropping the ballLanguage skills: fluent German (C1) and good English skills Nice-to-haves:Familiarity with marketplaces, SaaS, or digital tools for the hospitality industryExperience selling to hotel chains or multi-unit restaurant operatorsAn existing network in the local HoReCa marketYou speak other languagesWhat you get:Salary baseMID position EUR 46,000 - 58,000 yearly gross Senior position EUR 55,000 - 65,000 yearly gross Commission on the top of the base salary, uncapped Commuting covered via business accounts (Bolt, Uber, Miles)€200/month Payhawk for other work expenses - things like client coffees, meals, small day-to-day costsHardware from day one to get you up and runningA front-row seat to learn from some of the boldest thinkers in food and distribution, people who are genuinely reshaping how chefs buyA company that just raised €20M and is moving fast so your impact here is real and visibleThe chance to be part of digitising an industry that's been stuck in the past for too longAccess to the best industry events like restaurant openings, trade fairs, supplier showcases where you'll be representing Saltz where the food world actually gathersOur hiring process:We aim for a fast, transparent, and fair process.
