The Account Executive I plays a crucial role in driving sales initiatives and fostering partnerships within the education and healthcare markets, focusing on customer success and retention.ResponsibilitiesChampion strategic customer partnerships in the assigned territory, serving as the indispensable advisor and delivering lasting value to every customerServe as the principal representative of CPI for actual or potential customersAccelerate business growth by uncovering and capitalizing on opportunities to expand existing accounts through strategic upselling and cross-selling of CPI’s programs, products, and servicesDevelop and execute strategic account plans to increase customer lifetime valueElevate customer satisfaction and loyalty by implementing proactive strategies that reduce churn and maximize retentionDeliver compelling, solution-oriented presentations that address customer needs and showcase CPI’s unique value propositionMaintain accurate records of all customer interactions and sales activities, leveraging CRM and sales tools for accurate tracking and forecastingPartner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and customer care, to ensure seamless customer experiences and successful solution implementationsProvide actionable insights to leadership on industry trends, competitive activity, and client feedback to support strategic planningReport regularly on sales performance, customer engagements, and pipeline progress to leadershipRepresent CPI at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to expand market presence and build valuable connectionsStay ahead of industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory requirements to position CPI competitivelyPerform other position-related duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related fieldOne or more years of successful sales experienceProven experience in an account management, customer success, or ‘farmer' sales roleFamiliarity with contract renewal and negotiationProficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CRM platformsValid Driver's LicenseMeet all Vendor Credentialing requirements to ensure unrestricted access to CPI customer sites, including valid identification, background checks, drug screening, and required immunizations (such as COVID-19), as specified by each customerContinuously uphold all credentialing standards throughout employment to support essential job functionsExceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills with a genuine passion for helping customers succeedStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand customer challenges and provide consultative, effective solutionsMotivated by stability, customer success, and loyalty rather than short-term closing targetsAbility to think strategically and develop long-term account plans aligned with customer goalsDemonstrated success in B2B consultative or solutions-based sales environmentsBenefitsComprehensive benefits package401kPTOHealth & Wellness DaysPaid Volunteer Time OffContinuing education and trainingHybrid or remote work schedulePaid Parental LeaveCompany OverviewCrisis Prevention Institute provides training and consulting in behavior management and dementia care for human service professionals.
