What does a Luxury Accessories and Lighting Designer do? In the Luxury Accessories and Lighting Designer role at Villa & House, you will be at the forefront of designing exquisite home accessories, lighting, mirrors, and other small goods that embody our luxury brand. Your responsibilities will involve researching and developing innovative concepts that capture the essence of sophistication, while ensuring alignment with production requirements through the use of CAD software. You'll bring your creative visions to life by sketching designs and crafting prototypes, collaborating with manufacturers to implement cost-effective strategies for the final product. As you navigate the intricate world of Accessory Design, Lamp Design, and Mirror Design, your contributions will play a pivotal role in enhancing our reputation for excellence in the luxury furniture industry. Additionally, you must ensure design feasibility by preparing comprehensive specifications for materials and manufacturing methods. Collaborating closely with factory partners to implement cost-effective solutions is vital, alongside a solid understanding of materials and production processes. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field, coupled with a portfolio that showcases your design process and aesthetic sensibility, will set you up for success in this role. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Complex understanding of CAD Deep knowledge of production phases and a strong attention to detail. Ability to understand criticism and adjust design accordingly. Knowledgeable about the interior design industry Understanding of history of furniture and current design trends. Ability to understand and ensure design feasibility. Prepare detailed specifications for all products including materials and manufacturing methods. Work closely with factory partners to prioritize cost effective approach. BA or MA in Industrial Design, Product Design or related field.
