Academic Instructor, HSD/HSE - Make a Difference in the Lives of Job Corps Students

About the Role:
Provide academic instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula, focusing on HSD/HSE subjects
Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits, and coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary
Develop and prepare lessons, recommend curricula changes, and maintain a clean and organized training environment
Participate in student assessment panels, prepare required documentation and evaluations, and administer and correct tests
Utilize workplace language and behavior expectations in the classroom, relating academic skills to career training and workplace requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, valid teaching certificate in the state of Hawaii, or passing scores on the PRAXIS exams, and one year of related experience
Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Experience with online teaching platforms preferred
