The purpose of this position is to re-enroll and advise students who have previously withdrawn from ECPI University. The Re-entry Advisor works closely with the Financial Aid Department and Academic Department to identify obstacles that are hindering the student from re-enrolling by following standardized University guidelines and procedures for re-entry.

Responsibilities
• Utilize drop reports to target the specific population of drop and drop/reentry students, identify those who are eligible for re-entry, and coordinate their re-entry date along with all necessary forms and meetings.
• Make daily calls with energy and enthusiasm to withdrawn students to assist them in returning to finish their degree program.
• Ensure students re-entering have taken all the necessary steps to re-enroll while maintaining high level of customer service at all times.
• Ensure students who are required to complete an appeal to return to school complete and submit their appeal to the Education department for review and appeal approval/denial decision.
• Connect students with Re-Entry Finance to ensure all student financial obligations are planned for and met.
• Communicates effectively and continuously with applicants to keep them involved throughout the reenrollment process.
• Answers returning students’ questions, addresses concerns, and issues to prepare them to be successful, if approved to return, and assists in resolution of issues arising during the reenrollment process.
• Facilitates timely communication with re-entry students to ensure successful handoff to the Student Success Coordinator.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks without being dependent on tasks being served automatically by a system.
• Comfortable with learning various computer software and can articulate to students how to navigate them.
• Ability to use and facilitate online communication using email and/or other technology-based communication media.
• Strong writing (grammar, spelling and punctuation) and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Internal drive to meet, exceed enrollment goals while working in a fast-paced environment with timeline pressures, and a high sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills.
• Ability to handle questions regarding various aspects of the enrollment process, including but not limited to scholarships, financial aid, etc.
• Comfortable working independently, multi-task and perform as an effective teammate within the team or in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to problem-solve, understand, and interpret the needs of returning Students.
• Strong computer, data entry skills with high level of accuracy, and proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Experience:
• Knowledge of online distance education model and success strategies
• Knowledge of customer service strategies and conflict resolution
• Experience in post-secondary education preferred
• Prior post-secondary admissions or re-entry advisor experience preferred

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
