5G Simulation Engineer (Contract)
Position: 5G Simulation Engineer Onsite in NYC/ Delaware City/ Philadelphia long term contract Overview: We are seeking a 5G Simulation Engineer to support system-level modeling and simulation efforts within the NVIDIA Sionna simulator tool. The role requires expertise in wireless communications systems, strong knowledge of 5G protocols and standards, and proficiency in simulation frameworks and machine learning tools. Responsibilities: • Perform system-level simulations for 5G systems using the NVIDIA Sionna simulator. • Model and evaluate wireless communication protocols across PHY, MAC, and higher layers. • Contribute to the design, validation, and optimization of 5G and LTE-based technologies, including CBRS systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze performance, validate designs, and provide simulation insights. • Develop, maintain, and version-control simulation code using Python and Git. • Implement and optimize models using TensorFlow, TensorRT, and ONNX frameworks. • Stay current with 3GPP 5G NR specifications and apply them in system modeling. Qualifications: • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience. • Hands-on experience in system-level modeling and simulation for wireless communication systems. • Strong understanding of 5G/LTE communication systems, including non-access stratum, access stratum, PDU, MAC, and PHY layers. • Knowledge of 3GPP 5G NR, LTE, and CBRS standards. • Proficiency in TensorFlow, TensorRT, ONNX, Python, and version control tools (Git).
