3D Product Animator

Overview ZAGG is seeking a highly skilled and creatively driven 3D Animator to take our 3D motion content to the next level. This is not just a production role, we’re looking for someone with a “wow” portfolio who can push the boundaries of storytelling through animation and help us establish a strong motion design presence across our brand. You will collaborate closely with Art Directors, designers, and marketing teams to conceptualize and create high-impact animations for product launches, ads, social content, and branded storytelling. Your work will bring our products and messaging to life primarily through 3D animation, as well as video editing, and compelling motion design. Key Responsibilities • Animate 3D models and effects across various formats, including product visualizations, marketing campaigns, social content, and digital ads. • Own the full 3D motion process, from concept, storyboarding, and style frames to final render and delivery. • Work closely with Designers and Art Directors to transform still renders or photography into engaging motion narratives that align with brand goals and style. • Highly skilled in 3D animation techniques, integrating assets across tools like Adobe After Effects, Maya, Blender, or similar. • Enhance video content with dynamic elements such as animated typography, transitions, effects, and post-production polish. • Optimize animations for multi-platform distribution (website, social media apps, YouTube and sales presentations). • Maintain high standards of visual quality, project organization, and on-time delivery. Required Skills & Experience • Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D motion design work. • Expert-level proficiency in tools such as Premiere Pro, and either, Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, or similar. • Deep understanding of animation principles, timing, composition, and visual storytelling. • Experience working with 3D objects, compositing, lighting, and rendering techniques. • Ability to independently manage creative tasks while also thriving in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment. • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and adapting to tight timelines. • Bonus: Experience with sound design, color correction, VFX, and scripting (expressions/plugins) in After Effects. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Animation, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent industry experience). • Experience in product marketing, e-commerce, or tech/hardware industries. • Familiarity with UI/UX animations, interactive media, or AR/VR a plus. • Mastery of After Effects and 3D motion graphics (2D is a bonus) Why This Role Matters • This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up.
