2026 Visual Design Internship - Remote

Symetra's Internship Program for Summer 2026 is entirely remote - all interns will learn and work in a virtual setting. The internship duration is 12 weeks. Summary: This internship position supports corporate marketing's Design Team by assisting with the execution of Symetra's design system across various media. The intern will help with production tasks and learn to develop on-brand design solutions under guidance, contributing to marketing and sales materials. Responsibilities: • Production: Assist the Design Team in maintaining and updating existing sales and marketing collateral under supervision. Learn to incorporate ADA standards and manage digital assets. 70% • Creation: Collaborate with senior and lead designers to explore design ideas and contribute to visual content creation. Assist in developing digital assets, support photography selection, and provide image editing assistance. 30% Requirements: • Currently pursuing or has obtained a degree in graphic design or related field. • No prior professional experience required; coursework or personal projects in design are a plus. • Interested in learning brand standards and visual communication techniques. • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (mainly InDesign and Photoshop) and willingness to learn new tools. • Advanced understanding of graphic design principles and eagerness to develop skills in print and digital design. • Must receive a proficient score on basic design test. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically PowerPoint) and interest in digital media and photography. Compensation: Hourly Range: $22.00-25.00 Work Authorization Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role.
