Find your story in our books! Art & Design Designing books-covers, jackets, and interiors-is a collaborative effort. The staff reviews the book and meets with the editor and marketing department to create a visual-packaging direction and oversee its implementation to both represent the book's essence and attract the target audience. Some responsibilities may include creating covers and interior designs for each book, setting up hardcover and paperback mechanicals, Image research, type research, Illustrator research and creating social media assets. INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS Penguin Random House offers a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity available in our adult, children's, and corporate divisions. Interns are exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series! Summer interns work for 28 hours per week and are paid $20/hour. What you study does not matter! We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry.
