2 Online Spanish Instructors Needed Immediately for Company
Get your foot in the door with Workplace Languages! My name is Ed Rosheim of a company called Workplace Languages - https://www.workplacelanguages.com - based in the Twin Cities. We specialize in online and onsite language training for companies throughout the US, translations and multilingual voiceovers as well as creating work-specific functional bilingual training tools.
We are currently looking for two very enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Spanish instructors to teach to one of our corporate clients. You will be teaching workplace-specific and conversational Spanish to adult employees for this company. Previous experience teaching Spanish to companies / employees is a huge plus!
Workplace Languages will provide Spanish curriculum but we are looking for 2 online Spanish instructors who can also develop supplemental materials that meets the specific needs of the company. Both Online Spanish Classes are Level 1 offerings. A strong internet connection & experience teaching on Microsoft Teams is a requirement.
Requirements:
• Education Level: Must have an MA in Spanish.
• Must be available starting the week of September 8th.
• A very reliable Internet Connection.
• Extremely knowledgeable of & experienced in Microsoft Teams.
• Experience teaching Spanish to adults is a requirement.
• These two Level 1 Online Spanish Courses will both last 10 weeks.
• Class #1 will start Tuesday, September 9th, and will be Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:00 am until 9:00 am EDT.
• Class #2 will start Wednesday, September 10th, and will be Wednesdays & Fridays from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm EDT.
Start Date, Days and Times:
Both Online Workplace Spanish Courses will begin the week of September 8th. Both courses only meet for 10 weeks. There is a possibility of Level 2 Online classes and other additonal work with Workplace Languages.
All Spanish classes last one hour and meet two times each week. So it would be 2 total hours of instructional hours per week for 10 weeks – 20 total hours of instruction. Please see day & time specifics above.
The teacher must be available for all scheduled classes. We are unable to change this schedule as it is designed around the employees.
Payments / Salary:
Workplace Languages will pay $80 per hour. Along with being paid for 20 hours of instruction, the teacher will also be paid for a Virtual Site Visit (1 hour) + 1 hour for a New Teacher Orientation. So, $80/hr. X 22 Total Paid Hours or $1,760. Or 3 Equal Payments of $587.
This is just a starting wage / hourly rate. If the class is renewed or you teach either online or in-person for Workplace Languages again, your hourly rate will increase.
We will pay 1/3 upfront, 1/3 at the halfway point and at the end of the 12 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity to "get your foot in the door" with us and have other future teaching opportunities with Workplace Languages. We will also pay the instructor to visit the company prior to the first class.
The successful candidate will be able to create a fun and productive Spanish learning environment and will be well-versed in curriculum development and required to help develop curriculum.
Focus will be on a lively online environment promoting conversation in & outside of the classroom. We try to hold grammar to a minimum as much as possible.
